The Hammers were interested in Quagliarella in the summer and the Italian international has slid down the pecking order due to the arrivals of Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente.
But according to Talk Sport, the player’s agent has ruled out a move away from Italy for the 30-year-old.
“I am not aware that there have been any contacts between Lazio and my client, because Fabio has no intention of leaving Juventus in January,” Giuseppe Bozo told Calciomercatonews.
“[Juventus manager Antonio] Conte does not want to deprive himself [of Quagliarella]. We cannot say that Fabio is treated as the fourth striker after Carlos Tevez, Fernando Llorente and Mirko Vucinic.
“Plus the fact he is playing in a team that is fighting for the title is an extra motivation for him and he will not give up.”
The Hammers have really struggled for goals this season and have been forced to play a 4-6-0 formations several times in the absence of Andy Carroll.
A striker is an absolute must for Allardyce in January but it seems that Quagliarella will not be open to a move to the Premier League.
There are strong rumours circulating that Jermain Defoe could make a shock return to Upton Park with the forward struggling for game time at Spurs since Roberto Soldado arrived.
