So far,the 28-year-old has been in perfect form this season scoring a total of 17 goals in 14 appearances – and Ancelotti has hailed the prolific forward’s attacking partnership with new signing Gareth Bale.
“Ronaldo’s a team player, not a selfish player. Before Gareth Bale came, people thought they’d have problems playing together, but there’s no problem,” Ancelotti told The Times.
“They pass the ball to each other and have a good combination. Everyone is surprised at how well he’s played this season.”
Ancelotti then went on to praise Ronaldo’s technical skills and repeatedly emphasized that he feels the Portuguese attacker is the best in the world.
“I’ve seen Ronaldo play a lot of times, of course, but when you’re up close every day his technical skills are unbelievable,” he continued.
“He’s the best I’ve ever seen. He’s scored in every game in this period — 25 goals in 18 games — and he can score more.”
The former Paris Saint-Germain coach also had his say on Bale and voiced his satisfaction with the way Bale has adapted to his new surroundings.
He added: “Bale has settled in very well, and we’re all very happy. To get used to a new country and culture is not easy. He had problems when he came because he did not have a pre-season and was not in condition.”
Bale has so far netted five goals in 11 games in all competitions for Madrid.
