Halftimeng Serie A Team of Week

Viviano (Sampdoria) was at his best to keep out Roma, including saving Florenzi’s penalty Kick to take all 3 points at the eternal city to take our Goalie position.

In defence is De Silvestri (Torino) who has maintained his stable performance since Mazzarri took charge, enough to earn a place in the team of the week, he is joined by Danilo (Udinese) who guided his side’s backline to a clean sheet and all 3 points away at Genoa. Masiello (Atalanta) dominated all the battles with the Sassuolo forwards and scored the opener to aid his side to a comfortable 3-0 away win. Jagos Vukovic (Hellas) joins the defense after a goal and assist as Hellas impressed against lethargic Tuscan side Fiorentina and to complete the defense is Murru (Sampdoria) with an outstanding display on the left flank, causing a lot of problems for Florenzi also providing the assist for the only goal in the game as Sampdoria compounded Roma’s woes.

In midfield, Falque (Torino) impresses for another week with a goal and an assist as Toro won 3-0 against struggling Benevento. Bonaventura (Milan) was one of the stars of the show, heading home the winner in the traditional fixture vs Lazio. Juve were not at their best but Douglas Costa has obviously adjusted to life in Serie A.

Upfront, Dries Mertens (Napoli) scored a beautiful curler and a well taken Penalty Kick to keep the Southern Scudetto dream alive. Moise Kean (Hellas) was arguably the best player of the round as he scored a brace to give the Verona side some hope of survival. The on loan Juventus striker continues to impress and raise his stock as a youngster in Serie A.
