Halftimeng Premier League Team of Week 8

Saturday Lunch time may not have lived up to expectation, but Manchester City made good of the weekend with a seven star performance as Pep’s side put seven past a stubborn Stoke City side. Disappointingly, the two London derbies on show all ended in favour of the home teams as Crystal Palace grabbed their first goals and three points of the season as they put paid to Champions Chelsea whilst across town; Arsenal lost to Watford at Vicarage road for the first time in 30 years.

So to my team of the week selection, really difficult choices to make considering how many stand out performers Manchester City had on display. You have got to give credit to both Watford and Crystal Palace for their performances against two title chasing teams. Palace particularly deserve huge praise for their collective approach to the game especially considering that Wilfried Zaha had been out for six weeks, only to play the entire 90 minutes in a thrilling performance against the Champions.
