Halftimeng Premier League Team of Week 6 (2017/18)

Manchester City will definitely take some stopping this season, last week it was six past Watford, this weekend it was five past Crystal Palace; next weekend they take on another London Team in Champions Chelsea; Can Pep’s City hit Conte’s Chelsea for Four? Now that’s a matter for another day; in the spirit of scoring lots of goals, my team of the week embraces these theme wholeheartedly and with that the team of the week is selected in a 4-2-4 formation.

It was quite difficult selecting this particular team as the attacking talent on display far out weighed the defensive displays; unfortunately every selection must find a way to strike a balance between defense and attack, this I have done here. Worthy of mention as to be the performance of Tomer Hemed of Brighton, Richarlison of Watford and of course the consistent duo of Sergio Aguero and Romelu Lukaku; who are always in the front line for inclusion into the team of the week.

Chelsea were the other headline grabbers as Alvaro Morata banished any thoughts remotely connected Diego Costa with a Hat Trick performance at of all places, Stoke City’s Bet365 stadium. What a way to respond to all the criticism and comparisons, he has had to deal with since joining Chelsea in the summer.

In other areas; some strikers stood out by scoring braces including a forgotten striker of some sorts in no other than Oumar Niasse who came to the Toffees rescue for their first victory since the opening day of this season. All in all; it was a weekend for the forwards; here is my Team of the Week (Please ignore the midfield positions):
