I believe it is safe to say Chelsea have a hand on the Premier League trophy; even though we have seen much larger margins clawed back by title rivals in years gone bye; however this Chelsea do not look like they intend to slip up for anyone to take advantage, more so the chasing pack are too inconsistent to make good use of any signs of culpability.
This week, my Team of the week is set up in a 3-4-3 formation with Hull City’s Eldin Jakupovic manning the goal; who followed up his Old Trafford heroics with another clean sheet against Liverpool at the KCom Stadium. In front of him are Premier League debutant and the best defender Italy never had; Andrea Ranocchia, Lamine Kone joins him to add his power along with a goal from a set piece and finally joined by Craig Dawson, after another clean sheet for Tony Pulis’ side.
In Midfield; a lot of tough choices;I know i will get criticism for the inclusion of Henrik Mkhitarayan, who had a dazzling performance capped with a goal and an assist. Pedro Obiang provided an assured presence for West Ham on their away win at St.Mary’s as Ross Barkley celebrated prematurely on slotting home the Toffees’ sixth ina great all round performance and Eden Hazard brought the house down with a solo goal that showed how strong he can be on the ball and how lethal he is when in the mood.
Up Front, my choices combined for eight goals between them this weekend; Gabriel Jesus has got down straight to business at the Etihad; Romalu Lukaku continues to show his power, pace and lethal finishing ability and if Sunderland have any chance of survival; it would depend solely on Jermaine Defoe’s goals.
Marco Silva has worked wonders with a Hull City team that looked dead and buried; Four points from Nine points against teams in the top six; its Arsenal at the Emirates next and who is bold enough to write off my manager of the week.
