Merry Christmas to all our readers and followers all across Social Media. This past weekend tilted the destination of the title even closer to the blue half of Manchester as members of the chasing pack lost further ground on Pep Guardiola’s side. What makes this season seem so much like a foregone conclusion is the rate at which members of the so called elite six clubs have been dropping points, thereby extending the gap at the top.
To the individual performers over the weekend; Harry Kane tops the bill with his hat trick at Turf Moor against Burnley taking his goals tally to 36 goals in the 2017 calendar year; equalling the great Alan Shearer’s record from many years ago. The England and Spurs striker has a chance to break the record all together, it would be a huge achievement for the 24 year old striker as his career continues to blossom. Talking further about goals scorers it was good to see Sergio Aguero score his 100th Etihad goal for Manchester City; without a shadow of doubt the Argentine has solidified his place as a true Cityzens Legend.
To overall team performances, Everton, Newcastle and Leicester City lead the line in the top category, Arsenal would have made the cut but what good is it coming from two goals down only to surrender the lead to a defensively shattered Liverpool side; who have no hope of winning the Premier League title going by their overall defensive performances.
