Halftimeng Premier League Team of Week 14

Firstly; I must apologise for putting this out very late; its been a very busy last few weeks for me with the Premier Beach Soccer Event in Africa ”Copa Lagos 2016” around the corner; I hope you have all bought your tickets, the prices are quite reasonable.

So what a grand weekend of football we had this past weekend in the Premier league; like my friend Toks would want to have me do; this week’s selection is dedicated to the fine display of one touch, one pass, counter attacking football Chelsea put up at the Etihad. Football is such an intriguing sport and as I always say its a game of small margins; just imagine if Manchester City had gone two up with the host of chances created.

Unfortunately for Toks; I cannot have an entire Chelsea Line up in my team of the week selection as there were notable performances from Arsenal, Bournemouth, Spurs, Palace and Sunderland; point of note and this is dedicated to an avid reader of this column; Eguaveon, no Nigerian player makes it this week. Here is my team of the week selection in a 3-4-3 formation.

    1. A worst 11 is actually been considered; should start in the new year. Gana had a great game; broke play quite well and was instrumental in Everton getting back on level terms.

  1. Yayyy, finally 3 Chelsea players, as for Toks don’t worry, soon this TOWK will be all Chelsea Xi…..munch patrol, munch this. Not bad at all, I can’t complain 🙂 xoxo

    1. Bee, I don’t think the munch patrol are anywhere near here. It was a great Chelsea performance regardless and I firmly have them as title favourites now. Thanks for not complaining.
