Gotze set for Dortmund Clash

gozBayern Munich attacker Mario Gotze is anxiously anticipating this weekend’s Bundesliga encounter with Borussia Dortmund, although he accepts he is in for a rude reception.

In the summer transfer, the 21-year-old left BVB for Bayern window and was  criticised heavily by Dortmund fans for deciding to join the club’s domestic rivals.

While Gotze confesses that it will be hard to step back on to the pitch at Signal Iduna Park, he insists he is happy at the challenge of facing his old club and is fully ready for the crowd’s reaction to his return.

“I am really excited about my return to Dortmund,” Gotze was quoted as saying by Kicker.

“It will probably be one of the most difficult moments of my career.

“I realise that I will not receive the warmest of receptions, but I will have to deal with it as it was my own decision to leave Dortmund.”

Gotze has set himself as an key player under Pep Guardiola after his initial struggles with injury this season, scoring two goals in 11 appearances in all competitions so far for FCB
