Halftimeng.com brings to you another edition of Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) team of the week and best 11 of week 31 of the elite league in Nigeria.

Five teams in Matchday 31 midweek fixtures put up top notch performances, Sharks Fc played out a one all draw with basement side 3SC in Ibadan, Heartland Fc recorded their second consecutive away draw when they constrained Akwa United to a goalless affair, Lobi Stars and Gombe United beat their opponents at home by three goals to nil while Enyimba of Aba held Kano Pillars to 87 minutes before the Sai Masu Gida broke the gridlock, although the match was inconclusive but the Aba Warriors players deserved to be given a place in this week selection.

Sharks Fc Chief Coach, Gbenga Ogunbote edges Heartland gaffer, Ramson Madu to tutor the team of the Week 31 and the Best 11 as a result of his wards outing against the Oluyole Warriors when they muscled out a point with 10-men against 3SC. The Blue Angels are the best team in Matchday 31 as they played for over 40 minutes with a man down and got a point against relegation threatened Shooting Stars of Ibadan. Danladi Isah was in goal for Sharks as he distinguished himself to be the Best Player this week as his goal-keeping skills gave Sharks Fc a deserved point in Ibadan.

Two players from Sharks, Danladi Isah and Christian Pyagbara, made the team of the week, two players from Enyimba, Chinedu Udoji and Ifeanyi Ede also booked a place in the selection, they held Kano Pillars to ransom in a clash of the league table toppers which was marked by controversy as the encounter was inconclusive after the home team scored in the 87th minute.

Chinedu Udoji, Chinedu Efugh and Okechukwu Odita of Kwara United will complete the three-man defence.

Experienced midfielder, Isiaka Olawale will lead the four-man midfield. Isiaka will be joined in the middle of the park by three players that got a goal each while Abraham Peter of Lobi Stars got the only brace of NPFL Day 31 on Wednesday to help his team to a victorious outing.

Super Eagles striker, Ifeanyi Ede will be playing as the center-forward while Ibrahim Babale of Gombe and Hassan Hussein of ELKANEMI Warriors will be playing from the flanks to support Ede. Ibrahim registered his name on the score sheet when the Savannah Scorpions thrashed Kaduna United 3-0 in Gombe, Hassan on the other hand scored the only goal against Kwara United as El Kanemi Warriors earned the maximum points, Ifeanyi did not score but he was a handful for the pillars defense as his efforts going forward kept Pillars defense on their toes.
